EYESON SOLVES THE CASE OF THE MISSING INVOICE, SAVING MIAMI JEWELER $4,700 |

The eyeson surveillance and management system was able to help Miami-based Accar Jewelers
locate a "missing" invoice, saving the company $4,700.
According to store owner Joe Accar, a customer came in to pay a balance on an old account. While in the store,
the customer also signed for new merchandise. However, the customer took both his invoice copy and the store’s
invoice copy. When the customer came back into the store, he claimed he had already paid for the new merchandise
in cash on his last visit, which is why there was no store invoice.
Accar knew the customer had not paid, but he didn’t have the physical invoice to prove it. He looked up the video
evidence of the transaction on his computer. He was able to determine through the eyeson system that the
customer had taken both invoices. "I didn’t have the customer’s signature as proof," Accar recalls. "Without the
video evidence, I would have lost $4,700."
The eyeson system helps Accar in other ways.
"A customer called us and said she left her jewelry in the store," Accar says. "I told her we didn’t have it, but
it made us look like a thief. We looked through the video footage and found that another customer she knows, and
had been talking to in the store, picked it up after she left."
In a lighter incident, Accar found the cash register short one day. Not wanting to blame an employee for the missing
money, he checked the video files. He discovered that he had put the money in his pocket and forgot about it!
Although he had a surveillance system before eyeson, Accar notes that the old videotape-based system failed to
record on some days. Since installing the 16-camera eyeson digital system less than a year ago, Accar has been
